Stainless steel sieve shaker is an important tool for particle size analysis. Its model features are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
Usually made of high-quality 304 stainless steel. This stainless steel sieve shaker has good corrosion resistance, wear resistance and chemical stability, which can ensure the long-term use of the sieve and the reliability of the screening results. It is easy to clean, not easy to leave residual materials, and avoid cross contamination.
① Screen frame:
Stainless steel screen frame usually adopts double-layer thickening design, with high strength and rigidity, not easy to deform, ensuring the tension of the screen and the stability of screening.
The edge of the screen frame is finely curled, smooth and does not hurt the hand, and the operation is safer and more comfortable.
When used in superposition, the design ensures good sealing, prevents powder leakage, and improves screening efficiency.
The seamless connection technology is used between the screen frame and the screen to avoid materials stuck in the gap, convenient cleaning, and prevent cross contamination.
② Screen:
Weaving method: The metal wire mesh usually adopts flat weaving to ensure the regularity of the mesh. When the mesh size is less than a certain value (for example, 45μm or 38μm, the specific standards may be different), in order to achieve higher accuracy and strength, twill weave (twill weave) may be used. For larger apertures (for example, greater than 2.36mm), flat top weave is sometimes used to keep the surface of the screen flat.
High tension: The screen is tensioned on the screen frame through a precision process to maintain long-term use without loosening and deformation, ensuring the accuracy of the screen size.
High mesh accuracy: The density and mesh size of the screen are precise and reliable, and meet relevant standards (such as ISO3310-1, ASTME11, etc.). Some manufacturers will conduct optical testing to ensure product quality.
③ Models and specifications of stainless steel sieve shakers
Diameter: Common diameter specifications are 200mm (8 inches) and 300mm (12 inches), as well as smaller ones such as 75mm, 100mm, etc. and larger ones such as 400mm, 500mm, 600mm, etc., to adapt to different sample quantities and screening requirements.
Height (depth): Common ones are full height (usually 50mm or 2 inches) and half height (usually 25mm or 1 inch), as well as other height specifications such as 60mm, 45mm, 32mm, etc., to adapt to different material stacking heights and screening efficiency requirements.
Mesh size (aperture): The mesh size range is very wide, from a few millimeters to a few microns (for example, 20μm or even smaller to 125mm). Choose the appropriate mesh size according to different applications and separation requirements. The mesh size is usually expressed in millimeters (mm) or microns (μm), and is also expressed in mesh number (Mesh number refers to the number of mesh holes per inch length).
Standard: Different types of sieve shakers will meet different international or national standards, for example:
ISO 3310-1: Wire woven sieve shaker
ISO 3310-2: Metal perforated plate sieve shaker
ASTM E11: American Society for Testing and Materials Standard
