What is Pharmacopoeial Sieves?

Pharmacopoeial Sieves Test Method

2. When inspecting the size of the large mesh, it should be measured accurately. The precision of the measuring device shall be at least 2.5 μm or 1/10 of the median deviation of the mesh size, whichever is greater.

3. Inspection of weaving quality: Visual inspection or observation with a magnifying glass of 5 to 25 times. Defects and scrapped parts should be clearly marked.

4. Inspection of the size of the large mesh: First, find the large hole by visual inspection, and then use the corresponding instrument or measuring tool to measure the size, but the distance from the edge of the mesh should not be less than 20mm, and the distance between the midpoint of the mesh should be measured when measuring the mesh size. .

5. The number of large meshes of a screen with a mesh size of less than 1mm is measured on a 100 mmX 100 mm mesh surface; the number of large meshes of a mesh with a mesh size greater than or equal to 1mm is measured on a 200 mmX200mm mesh surface.

6. Inspection of the arithmetic mean size of the mesh: at the point where the size of the mesh has a large deviation, three locations should be measured according to the warp and weft directions. Not less than 20 mm from the edge of the screen.
