20cm test sieve for garden soil is a 20cm diameter sieve specially designed for garden soil management. It is often used to size granular materials. The 20cm test sieve is mainly used to analyze the particle size distribution of soil samples to help determine the type, texture and fertility of the soil. In addition, it can also be used to screen and remove impurities in the soil, such as stones, roots, etc., to obtain a purer soil sample.
1.Soil texture analysis: Through sieving, the soil can be divided into particles of different particle sizes, such as sand, silt and clay, to determine the texture of the soil. Soil texture directly affects the physical properties of the soil, such as water permeability, water retention, etc., which in turn affects plant growth.
2.Soil fertility assessment: Different soil particle sizes have different adsorption and release capabilities for nutrients. Through sieving analysis, the nutrient status of the soil can be understood, providing a basis for fertilization.
3.Soil improvement plan formulation: According to the particle size composition of the soil, soil improvement can be carried out in a targeted manner, such as adding organic matter, sand or clay.
When the garden soil sample is placed on the top sieve of the test sieve, the soil is moved on the sieve by vibration. Larger particles (such as stones and coarse gravel with diameters larger than the sieve aperture) will be retained on the upper sieve. As the number of sieve layers increases, the aperture gradually decreases. Soil particles of different particle sizes will be retained by different layers of sieves according to their size, while the finest soil components (such as fine soil and humus) will pass through all sieves and fall into the collection container at the bottom of the test sieve.
1.Avoid adhesion: Some soils contain sticky substances, which are easy to adhere to the sieve holes or the surface of particles, affecting the screening effect. Properly treat the soil sample before screening to reduce adhesion.
2.Multiple screening: For soil samples with a wide range of particle size distribution, test sieves with different mesh sizes can be used for screening multiple times to obtain more comprehensive particle analysis data.
3.Appropriate pressure: For some soil samples that are difficult to screen, slight pressure can be applied appropriately to help particles pass through the sieve holes and improve screening efficiency.
4.Vibration screening: Using vibration screening, the soil particles are moved in the sieve holes through vibration, which accelerates the screening process and reduces particle blockage and aggregation.
1.20 mesh sieve: The pore size is large, suitable for preliminary screening, which can quickly remove large impurities and stones to make the soil purer.
2.30 mesh sieve: The pore size is moderate, which can retain more soil particles while removing impurities, and is suitable for more detailed screening of soil.
3.40 mesh sieve: The pore size is small, which can further refine soil particles, improve soil uniformity and air permeability, and is suitable for occasions with high requirements for soil quality.
1.Agricultural production: Through screening, pest and disease eggs in the soil can be removed and the occurrence of pests and diseases can be reduced. Good soil structure can inhibit the reproduction of pathogens and improve the disease resistance of the soil.
2.Home gardening: Prepare different proportions of soil, sand and organic matter according to the growth habits of different plants. By adding an appropriate amount of coarse sand, the drainage of potted soil can be improved to prevent water accumulation in potted plants.
3.Scientific research experiments: used to study soil formation, soil erosion and other soil science problems. Used to study the adaptability of plants to different soil environments.
20cm test sieve is an important tool for soil analysis. It can be used to obtain important information such as soil particle size composition, providing a scientific basis for soil improvement and plant cultivation. When selecting and using a 20cm test sieve, the appropriate model and method of use should be selected according to actual needs.
